Membership Opportunity For Retired Federal Employees

If you are recently retired from the federal government within the past year, are over 50 years old, and are a resident of Arlington, Encore Learning would like to invite you to become a member! Encore Learning provides lifelong learning opportunities during the day with classes, clubs and events. As a newly retired member of our community, we’d love you to learn more about us.

This opportunity is to join with a scholarship supported by a grant from donations to our Arlington Community Foundation fund. The scholarship includes a one-year membership valued at $65 and credit for one complimentary course during the spring semester of 2026.

You will have the opportunity to sign up for clubs and special events for free, and be able to register for courses on February 2. One course registration will be complimentary and additional courses are $55 each. The membership will be valid for one year from the date the application is processed. This opportunity is only available to individuals who have never been a member of Encore Learning.

There are currently 2 scholarships available. This number will be updated as funds and applications are received. Funds will come from donations via the Arlington Community Foundation Nonprofit Wish Catalog as well as donations to the Encore Learning General Fund designated toward the scholarship fund. If you are interested in donating to Encore Learning directly to support scholarships for recently retired federal employees, make a Donation here and then email info@encorelearning.net indicating the designation.
